Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Cybersecurity & Cryptography

Location: Netherlands/Belgium

Start Date: May/June 2025

Work type: Full-Time Contract (Freelance)

Duration: 6 months + extensions

For one of our largest clients in the global retail sector, we are looking for a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in implementing cybersecurity solutions, with a strong focus on certificate management, cryptography, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing security projects, covering the deployment of a central certificate management solution and integrating with existing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and cryptographic key management projects.

  • Closely monitor the RFP process and deliverables.

  • Develop detailed project roadmaps and milestones plans.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Ensure projects align with company policies and standards.

Certificate & Cryptography Expertise

  • Oversee the implementation of a certificate management.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate the certificate management into existing processes.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as a bridge between internal IT teams, IAM, and business teams to ensure a smooth implementation of the solutions.

  • Communicate technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Job requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity projects.

  • Strong knowledge of PKI, TLS/SSL, certificate lifecycle management, and cryptographic protocols (RSA, ECC, AES, SHA-2, etc.).

  • Experience with certificate lifecycle management tools.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
