Job description
Marketing Operations & Events Manager
We are seeking a creative, hands-on, and execution-focused Marketing Operations & Events Manager to drive our brand's presence and foster community engagement within the B2B services landscape. In this pivotal role, you will translate ideas into actionable marketing strategies for our consulting services, working cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution while maintaining our brand's professional yet casual tone. Reporting to the Marketing Director/CMO, you will collaborate with leadership, our internal team, and our extensive external consultant network to manage creative initiatives and community-building efforts that align with our brand vision, with a strong emphasis on bringing campaigns to life and managing events catered to the senior business leader persona.
A little bit about us
Riverflex was founded in Amsterdam and London in 2018 with the aim of delivering 'consulting done differently'. To achieve this, we combine skills and deep expertise from across our global network of freelance consultants and our core team, and work shoulder to shoulder with our clients to overcome the challenges of the digital world.
Responsibilities:
Execute B2B marketing campaigns: Drive the hands-on execution of marketing initiatives for our consulting services, specifically targeting business leaders. This includes translating high-level ideas from leadership into practical, actionable plans.
Lead community & event management: Plan, coordinate, and flawlessly execute marketing campaigns and end-to-end events that build and strengthen our professional community. This involves leveraging strategic partnerships to maximize engagement.
Develop engaging content: Lead the creation of high-quality, impactful content for platforms like LinkedIn, ensuring it aligns with our brand tone and objectives, and effectively translates the recent R1 rebrand across all marketing output. You'll manage quick turnarounds for posts when necessary.
Oversee branded materials: Manage the production and distribution of welcome packages and other branded merchandise for community members and events.
Market developing offerings: Be comfortable marketing our consulting services that may still be in development. You'll proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure clear conceptualization upfront to align marketing efforts effectively.
Requirements:
3-5 years of marketing experience: You should have a proven track record in marketing campaign execution, project management, and events management, ideally within a B2B services environment. Experience with marketing, design, or digital agencies is a plus.
Cross-functional collaboration: Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and adeptly translating creative ideas into actionable marketing initiatives.
Brand tone & execution: Ability to balance professionalism with our unique brand tone, demonstrating both creativity and strategic execution in your work.
Events & community building expertise: Proven experience in planning and executing successful events and community-building initiatives that foster engagement and drive brand presence.
Hands-on & proactive mindset: You're a doer! You should be comfortable working with basic design tools, contributing directly to the monthly content calendar, and proactively finding practical, implementable solutions within constraints.
Organizational skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines, consistently delivering projects on time.
Collaborative spirit: No task is beneath you. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy both high-level strategy discussions and getting your hands dirty with execution.
