Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, hands-on, and execution-focused Marketing Operations & Events Manager to elevate our brand presence and strengthen community engagement in the B2B services space. This role is pivotal in translating high-level ideas into actionable marketing plans, driving campaigns and events targeted at senior business leaders, particularly around initiatives like hackathons and working group sessions.

You will work closely with leadership, the internal team, and external consultants, managing creative initiatives and community-building activities. Success in this role requires a self-starter who can independently manage projects, connect with people, and take ownership of marketing execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Manage & Oversee Marketing Initiatives: Lead hands-on execution of marketing campaigns, especially social media content and event management including hackathons and working group sessions.

  • Lead Event & Community Building Efforts: Plan, coordinate, and flawlessly execute events that engage our professional community, leveraging strategic partnerships and internal resources.

  • Content Development: Collaborate with designers and content brainstormers to create engaging, brand-aligned content with quick turnaround times, particularly for platforms like LinkedIn.

  • Manage Marketing Materials: Oversee production and distribution of branded merchandise and welcome packages for community members and events.

  • Market Developing Offerings: Effectively market consulting services, including offerings in development, ensuring alignment with stakeholders upfront.

  • Take Initiative: Be proactive in identifying challenges and delivering practical, implementable marketing solutions with a hands-on approach.

 

Success Metrics

  • Meeting and exceeding marketing KPIs with clear control and oversight of all initiatives.

  • Demonstrating independence, strong project management, and content creation capabilities.

  • Taking ownership and leading upcoming campaigns and events like R1/R2 launches and hackathons.

  • Successfully navigating challenges such as internal responsiveness and cross-team collaboration.

 

Team & Collaboration

  • Work within a compact team.

  • Potentially work with a marketing intern to support content efforts.

  • Strong interaction with leadership, internal teams, and external consultants.

  • Support is available for event execution, including vendors, agencies, and internal staff.

 

Candidate Profile & Skills

  • Experience: 3-5 years of marketing campaign execution, project management, and event coordination preferred. Experience in B2B or consulting marketing is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using basic design tools such as Canva; interest in AI and AI marketing is a bonus. Not expected to be highly mature in automation tools yet.

  • Soft Skills: Enthusiastic, passionate, collaborative, with the ability to independently drive projects and connect with senior business leaders.

  • Community Building: Experience or interest in community engagement and working with senior leaders is valuable.

  • Personal Qualities: Self-starter, independent, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
