Location:

Duration:

8 weeks , Full-time (5 days/week) - Option to extend by further 6 weeks.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Data Centre Strategy Consultant to support a strategic transformation initiative involving the assessment and consolidation of multiple data centre sites.

You will join an ongoing programme where an initial assessment has already begun, and your role will be to drive the strategic side of the project: advising on consolidation options, comparing maturity across facilities, and defining an optimization roadmap. This is a high-impact role requiring both technical understanding and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic review and consolidation planning of data centre operations across multiple sites.

  • Assess data centre maturity levels, focusing on security, resilience, capacity, and infrastructure quality.

  • Provide expert analysis on technical infrastructure, facilities management, and operational effectiveness.

  • Develop and present a data centre consolidation strategy aligned with business and IT objectives.

  • Conduct benchmarking against industry standards and peer organizations to inform best practices.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to inform decisions.

  • Provide executive-ready insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in data centre strategy, infrastructure consulting, or IT transformation.

  • Proven track record in data centre assessments, consolidation planning, or hybrid cloud migrations.

  • Strong knowledge of data centre security, redundancy, cooling/power management, and compliance standards.

  • Experience working at or with leading consulting firms or global enterprises on infrastructure projects.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable operating at a senior manager level, with autonomy and ownership.
